Roadmap

These are the features we want to add to FreedomShop. The groups show our priorities, without promising dates.

Now: the first release

• Installing on your shop's own server.
• Registers, returns, layaways and special orders, customers, purchasing and receiving, inventory, sales tax, price tags and reports.
• Setting up your shop's name, logo, receipt wording, tax locations and logins the first time you start it.
• Reporting a problem as a GitHub issue.
• The source code on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0-or-later.

Next

• An installer for Debian and Ubuntu, and an optional Docker setup.
• Sending each day's sales to FreedomBooks.
• Bringing customers, items, vendors and sales history over from QuickBooks Point of Sale.

Later

• A live connection to FreedomBooks, so sales post without a daily file.
